Citroën Mehari” EDEN SORBET”
For over 40 years, the Mehari Club de Cassis has been perpetuating the Mehari tradition with its unique expertise and know-how. In 1998, Citroën entrusted the club with its original tooling, enabling it to reproduce Mehari parts no longer produced by the brand. Since then, the MCC has preserved this part of France's automotive heritage.
Commissioned by the famous Martinez Hotel in Cannes as a “courtoisie car” for its clients, our Car Tailoring office imagined and created, in collaboration with the Mehari Club de Cassis, a unique range of Citroën Mehari called “Sorbet”, an ode to freshness, freedom and South of France way of life. Each Mehari comes with white paint but with each one having different bespoke interiors related to an ice cream flavor (strawberry, champagne, lemon…).
Thanks to their mutual passion for Citroën and their love for French know-how, it was only natural that the Mehari Club de Cassis and Tristan Auer joined forces to create a bespoke Eden Mehari with a contemporary, refined, refreshing design celebrating the French Riviera spirit.
Since 2017, the Eden Mehari, which we used, has an electric motor to enhance driving pleasure and drive discreetly from your favorite ice cream shop to the perfect beach spot for lunch. The seats has been meticulously made to measure by a south of France craftsperson with a special hand woven “cannage” braiding. A cool box to keep everything cold is included, so is the handmade cork lifebelt and the Bluetooth connected audio system.
The MCC has been awarded the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" and "Origine France Garantie" labels.
